Abstract

Knowledge management- Research Summary based on case study of three LA Social care bureaucracies.Early dominance of IT and competitive edge in KM theory as restrictive. Increased reference to the human dimension in the literature together with a more holistic and dynamic approach has raised its profile in the public sector. Paper proposes new variant KCT as more accessible to public social care bureaucracies. Identifies barriers to tacit knowledge transfer and develops Field Research Model of Organisational Influences.Examines determinates of knowledge activity and identified barriers.
