Abstract
A 32-part TV drama series 'Moorat' directed by Kamran Qureshi and written by Seema Ghazal on the lives and issues of intersex and transgender people. The series is nominated in Lux Style Awards 2005, for Best Series, Best TV Series Director, Best TV Series Actress and Best TV Series Actor awards. The serial highlighted the attitudes of family, the behaviour of society, gender identity, harassment, discrimination, employment and psychological issues. The series was produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and broadcasted on ARY Television Network in the US, UK, UAE, Pakistan and is available on DVDs.
