Abstract
Pakistan is one of only two countries where polio still remains endemic - the other country being neighboring Afghanistan. This chapter provides a short review of polio-related misinformation in Pakistan, shows how it paved the way for the spread of COVID-19-related misinformation, and discusses the potential implications of such misinformation for public health. We also discuss the similarities and differences between the types of misinformation spread about these vaccines.
