    Abstract

    An interrogation of landscape using digital recording and interactive technologies - creating works that respond to the vistas of the landscapes of the New Forest and working in collaboration with the New Forest Museum, the work generated have featured in exhibitions nationally and internationally (USA and Europe). One piece, an interactive web work Birth and Decay ( www.hidrazone.com/birthanddecay.html ) uses still images and interactive technology to allow users to navigate the seasonal change of the land through a series of detailed close ups. 25-Birth and Decay featured in DIGITAL MEDIA 1.0 “international participation of artists that will show the heterogeneity and diversity of the contemporary art scene” – Valencia 17th April to 11th May 2008 25-Birth and Decay featured in Digital Eyes tour “Illuminate the role digital media play in shaping, extending, and reflecting worldviews and cosmologies” – culminating in exhibit at Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery November 6th 2008 – January 18th 2009 having been at The Niswonger Digital Media Center, East Tennessee State University September 1st to 26th 2008 & University of Wisconsin-Stout, January 29th to February 21st 2008 Images from 25-Urban selected for URBAN (R)EVOLUTIONS – Video Art Festival Miden: a meeting with contemporary video art in Kalamata – 10th to 12th July 2009 25-Birth and Decay invited to FONLAD – Digital Landscapes TMG Gallery, Guarda, Portugal 14 Nov 2009 – 3 Jan 2010 Work selected for Javamuseum 2010 – Celebtrate Day 43 February 22nd 2010 25-Birth and Decay exhibiting at New Forest Museum Gallery 24th April 2010 – 23 May 2010 25 – Exibition of Digital Art and Photographs at Dimbola Museum Series of digital artworks and photographic images based on the 25 series to be exhibited at Dimbola museum - home of celebrated Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron - 7th September to 4th November 2012.
