Academic description
The Whistle” is a proof-of-concept short film that will be part of a larger feature film, which will seek further funding from film institutions like the BFI PRODUCTION FUND, British Film council and Mubi. This film will feature prominently within the PI’s research as practice in the field of feminism on film and female perspectives on screen. It will build upon the foundations of the PI’s previous research practice and films, which all utilise feminist theory to deconstruct stereotypes of women’s experiences on the periphery of society’s normative gaze.
