Exploring the effectiveness of engagement on radiographer retention

The initial project consisted of data collection through stay interviews with soon to be qualified band-5 radiographer at the Dorset County Hospital (DCH) to explore aspects of engagement. These commendation arising out of project are already being implemented by DCH. The RIKE funding would be used to expands the database of this pilot project to other hospitals in the Southern region (Poole, Bournemouth and Yeovil as initial sites, potentially Southampton) through conducting interviews, dependant on access/time restraints. The project aim is twofold: 1) to further explore and then extend the emergent insights from initial project to other sites and 2) to publish the findings in an academic journal.
