Personal profile
Research interests
- Microparticle manipulation using Acoustics/ Ultrasonic forces.
- Underwater Acoustics Propagation Analysis and Modelling of wind turbines, cruise ships.
- Analysis and processing of Biomedical Signals ( ECG, GSR).
- Finite element modelling (COMSOL).
- Numerical modelling using MATLAB.
Teaching
Puja teaches various engineering modules, including engineering maths, network theory, electronic systems, microcomputer systems, microcontroller with Arduino, signal processing, and some finite element simulations.
Puja's current work and research are based on machine intelligence, healthcare technology and internet of things.
Before teaching, Puja was a research scholar undertaking a PhD at the University of Southampton in finite element modelling of acoustics forces. During her work (project funded by a EPSRC) she has contributed some important findings through peer reviewed international journals and international conferences.
She also works on gender and racial diversity, aiming to close gaps and diversify talent in STEM courses, and particularly in engineering.
Education/Academic qualification
PhD, Efficient numerical tools for estimating acoustic radiation forces for a wide range of particle and fluid properties, University of Southampton
