I welcome PhD projects within all aspects of visual culture particularly those concerned with the relationships between politics and aesthetics.

Particular fields of interest and areas of research include:

* The relationship between political and aesthetic subjectivity
* The Northern Renaissance/sixteenth century visual culture
* The history of printmaking globally especially in relation to politics
* Science/speculative fiction and culture
* Art, History and Critical Theory
