Description
What is best practice when providing heritage projects for mental health and wellbeing? AMPHORA GuidelinesTaking part in heritage projects, like archaeology, has become a popular way to improve mental health and wellbeing. Yet there can be times when projects lack the right set up to makes sure that the participants and the historic remains are well looked after. With funding from UKRI MARCH Network, a team led by Solent University and University of Winchester, produced a set of guidelines – the AMPHORA guidelines – through consultations with people with lived experience and expertise along with heritage and mental health professionals. This workshop will provide background as to how the guidelines were developed, what the guidelines cover, and how they can be implemented. As with all our work, we are committed to collaborative working, so time will be given to share your thoughts and experiences in relation to the guidelines.
