Description
This solo exhibition showcases a range of past and present artworks exploring themes of memory, identity, trauma, and connection through deeply personal and collaborative practices. Highlights include Scars (2010), a series revisiting family photographs to process emotional scars through re-editing; Hyperacusis (2022), visualizing the impact of living with a rare auditory condition; and Visualising Birth Trauma (2023), a mixed-media exploration of birthing traumas using experimental processes like soaking film in breast milk. Other works include The Will (2010), addressing family betrayal through photomontage; Lineage (2015), an investigation into the artist’s ancestry and Southampton’s showman history; and the cover artwork for The Last Thing to Burn (2021).
