Description
Presentation on the findings of research entitled ‘Opportunities in Student Recruitment for Social Work’, to social work departments within Shropshire County Council. The aim is to explore ways to boost recruitment by the direct onboarding of apprentices and other initiatives designed to increase social work student numbers which (outside of London) have been falling year-on-year. I will outline how we can no longer rely on UCAS applications or college/6th form visits to stimulate an interest in studying social work and put forward other recruitment initiatives.| Period | 7 May 2026 |
