Description
The NHS, and our wider health and care system, is undergoing its biggest shift in over a decade - the shift from illness to prevention (DHSC 2025). Nursing is an industry-led degree with students spending 3600 hours on clincal placements during their degree. However, public health placements are rare (Hay et al 2024), limiting our ability to create graduates ready for the future NHS. Solent already provides high-quality simulated practice learning in Nursing (Holt 2024), this project builds on that foundation, providing a two-week public health simulation experience.
