Description
This work explores the use of Generative AI as a tool to stimulate creative problem-solving in engineering education. Instead of focusing on accuracy, AI is used to generate flawed or incomplete ideas, which students critically evaluate and improve into viable solutions. Implemented across mechanical and electrical engineering, this approach enhances creativity, engagement, and deeper understanding of core principles. The findings suggest that AI can support more innovative, student-centred learning while enabling educators to focus on mentoring.
