    Description

    Virtual attendance (due to Covid 19) at conference focussed on "Child Interviewing: The case for Specialist Training". Invited to be 1 of a panel of 5 international experts on child victim interviewing delivering to Dubai Police and Scientific Division. Other participants on the panel were, Prof. Ray Bull (University of Leicester & Portsmouth, UK), Prof. Becky Milne (University of Portsmouth, UK), Prof. Karmit Katz (Tel Aviv University, Israel) and Prof. Kamala London Newton (University of Toledo, USA). The panel discussed and advised on various areas including forensic interviews, children as competent witnesses, child memory, interview preparation, communication and cultural adaptation, interviews with pre-schoolers, training, and the use of child interviews as evidence. This was followed by a Q & A session.
