Hosting the Medaille Trust who support survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking across the UK. They will be delivering an interactive exhibition on Modern Slavery in the Spark atrium to mark their 20-year anniversary as a Trust. You and your students are cordially invited to attend this event entitled:
“From Survival to Strength: 20 Years of Journey, Voice, and Hope.”
While the event includes a powerful creative element, its primary purpose is to raise awareness of modern slavery, increasing understanding of how exploitation presents in the UK today, challenging common misconceptions, and equipping communities and future professionals with knowledge to respond appropriately.
Through survivor-created artwork, reflections, and storytelling, the event seeks to:
Highlight the realities of modern slavery in contemporary Britain
Raise awareness of the signs and indicators of exploitation
Promote trauma-informed and survivor-centred practice
Encourage critical reflection on inequality, exploitation, and safeguarding
Inspire informed action within professional and community settings
